rainy soccer roundup {olivia}

This was Olivia’s first year of soccer, and I have to admit I didn’t have very high expectations of what they could do.  I was amazed at the difference from the beginning of the season to now.  They have worked so hard and have done so well.  Mega props to our two great coaches and the rest of the parents who have volunteered their Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings to teaching this very cute little group of girls.

I was quite surprised at registration that they would need full soccer gear~ shin guards, cleats, shorts ect…  Well I’m always one to get onboard a little shopping and seriously how cute is everything in size 5!!

We spent the season practising and playing games on some older soccer fields in town.  Saturday’s windup tournament, however, was up at the big soccer fields that the bigger kids get to play on and Olivia was thrilled to play up there.  That plus a real referee made them feel very important.  Unfortunately most of the day it poured rain, but that didn’t slow them down at all~ they played great and Olivia is so excited for next year.

    Adorable images Leslie! Olivia looks like she had a blast! I went to my son’s soccer game for the first time this season too and was SO impressed with how good he had become in only a short amount of time! Its really amazing how fast they learn! Now I just have to remind myself to take some pics! ;)
