sparks winter camp

If you ever needed another reason to sign your daughter up for Sparks (pre-Brownies) here it is…

I have to be completely honest that while I was looking forward to spending the weekend with Olivia I wasn’t entirely sure how “winter camp” was going to go.  Let me tell you I’m not sure who had a better time Olivia or I :)

All the meals and actives were supplied.  And I don’t mean hotdogs and hiking (which is kinda what I was thinking….) but snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sledding, ice fishing, skating, and snow candy making.  Not to be outdone by the indoor crafts of felting, soap felting, beading, & cookie decorating.  Fresh soups, sandwiches, shake&bake chicken with roasted vegetables, caesar salad, cheesecake, french toast, fancy oatmeal, taco salads and more….. We stayed in fun cabins that were heated and had a campfire and songs before a PJ party!! :)

If you’re interested in joining Sparks next year (it’s for kindergarten & grade 1 girls) just send me a message and I can direct you to our group leader.

3 posts in 3 days AND a slideshow!? You make me proud! ha ha Looks like you girls had a wonderful time. How special is it that Olivia will have these moments, perfectly captured on film, that will last her a lifetime! Love the one of you and O in your colour coordinated pink and red snow suits!
